Peugeot boldly going where no other car manufacturer has gone before

Peugeot, the French car maker has become the first car maker to offer space travel as a competition prize in the UK. Peugeot’s 3008 Space Odyssey winner will be taken to the edge of the earth’s atmosphere, the competition and prize was revealed by Peugeot last week.

Entry for the draw is quite interesting, as well entering by test driving a new 3008 at Peugeot dealers in Tunbridge Wells, people can enter by spotting Peugeot 3008s which will be perched atop some of London’s best known buildings. These sighting are to be made online on the largest spherical panorama found online, which provides a 360˚ views of the Capital. Captured from the top of Centre point, the system will allow viewers to zoom in with enough definition to spot the vehicles. Clues to the locations of these vehicles will be ‘leaked’ online using various social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter and influential bloggers.

Morgan Lecoupeur the Director of Marketing at Peugeot UK said, “At Peugeot we are again boldly going where no other car manufacturer has gone before! Incredibly it is 50 years since Yuri Gagarin made that historic first trip into space and who would have thought we at Peugeot would be giving someone the opportunity to follow in his footsteps. Whoever wins could become one of just a handful of Britons who have ever ventured there.”

The new Peugeot 3008 will be making appearances on a tour bus visiting London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow. It will also be touring a range of public locations including shopping centres and local public spaces which will allow visitors to experience the car as well as providing more opportunities to play the spot3008 game
