Mark Mulvihill Delcan Engineer, Vancouver Resident, Supports Tsunami Relief in Japan

Vancouver, BC; – Mark Mulvihill Delcan Engineer. Mark Mulvihill a Vancouver resident and local engineer recently donated to the Canadian Red Cross in an effort to help those affected by the earthquake and following tsunami that devastated Japan.
Mark Mulvihill, like many, upon hearing of the tragic events that took place in Japan, was determined to help. Mark Mulvihill through his work at engineering firms including at Delcan, has worked in Asia and was moved by the Japanese tragedies; a magnitude 9.0 earthquake followed by a destructive tsunami with waves measuring up to 128 feet caused massive loss of life and incomprehensible destruction to the country of Japan.
Mark Mulvihill, through his engineering work including his current role at Delcan has extensive knowledge of engineering and infrastructure, was impacted by the depth of the destruction caused by these natural disasters on multiple levels. Mark Mulvihill was moved, not only the obvious emotional effects to the people of Japan but, also by the extreme destruction to the Japanese landscape and infrastructure.
Mark Mulvihill was immediately determined to help and donated $1,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to support relief efforts. Mark Mulvihill Delcan Engineer, is also reaching out to past and current colleagues at Delcan and other firms to join him in supporting Tsunami relief effort.
The Canadian Red Cross, thanks to the generous support of many compassionate Canadians like Mark Mulvihill and similar Vancouver residents, through who’s generosity they were able to send $5 million dollars in cash to the Japanese Red Cross to support relief efforts and provide the Japanese people with emergency medical care, hospital care, psychological support as well as relief supplies such as blankets, food and basic supplies.
