Experiencing the luxury of superb hotels
We all know what to expect when we go to a hotel on a shoe string budget – a bed or two, with some type of thin blanket. There is usually a mirror in the closet with an iron and an ironing board and, if you are lucky, you get a nice view from your window. Most places offer a free breakfast, although some make you pay for it. Depending on how much you can afford there will be a massive difference in the type of room you get. There are all sorts of roadside motels where you can check in for a night and essentially you get what you pay for.
The jump between the average hotel and the high class versions, therefore, is massive. Luxury hotels are usually for the upper class of society. Having the opportunity to stay the night at one is very likely to lead to an experience that will lead you to conclude it is worth whatever money you pay for a suite. The corridors of the main lobby and halls are usually littered with first class coffee and clothing shops. In some of the lounges on the main level, it is not uncommon to find wrapped candy scattered on the floor left by the men or women who keep everything clean and tidy in that area. If you explore the main levels you might come across an exotic salt water fish tank or two.
Luxury hotels will often hire professional scent makers to create a smell distinct to their luxury hotel alone. These professional scent makers come in and use their nose to sniff out distinct smells to help incorporate something for the customers to remember and not only bring them back, but to create a unique experience, so that when they experience that smell again it really brings back profound memories. The scent makers often use a common denominator in the smells they create – the smell of money.
Live music can be heard in the lobbies of luxury hotels. As you take a walk around, you will find uniformed butlers and miscellaneous other service people who are the most professional and upstanding as you can find anywhere. The lower end suites in luxury hotels might only remotely resemble a normal hotel room. There is usually a little more living space around the TV such as couches, comfy chairs and a bigger writing desk. The services included are likely to be free, such as WiFi, while room service is likely still to charge. These types of hotels will most definitely have a high class kitchen which can cook the kind of dishes you usually only see in magazines.
If you would like to stay in a boutique hotel, there are many different types of luxurious hotels you could choose from.
