Lesson Plans Will Help Deliver the Correct Message
Lesson plans are integral parts of the learning process and all teachers should have a level of familiarity with devising lesson plans. Whether you devise plans for each individual day or for the course as a whole, there are many things that need to be considered along the way. Being able to outline the learning plan will make it easier if anything untoward happens to disrupt the learning process, allowing teachers to remain fully in control of the situation. Having an element of flexibility in the learning process is always recommended in case of something going wrong but it also allows teachers to focus on some parts more than others if required.
At the heart of all lesson plans will be what the objectives of the lesson is. If the objective is to help children count between 1 and 20, this should be the main objective. There may be further objectives regarding being able to count unprompted or to be able to add and subtract within this number set but there is no doubt it is easier to judge the merits of a learning plan if there is an end goal attached to it.
Just as in the way that all teachers are different and will have their own personality, it is fair to say that lesson plans can reflect the teacher as well. If a teacher is more of a free spirit, their lesson plan may have greater room for deviation or may be based around a more fun based learning process. Some teachers prefer to follow guidelines and the curriculum to a tee which means that there is likely to be little deviation from the set plan and most of the learning will be in a straightforward manner.
Whatever lesson plan is deemed best by the teacher is the one to follow but there is an argument that an element of flexibility with respect to the pupils should be kept in mind. Some pupils will learn in different ways so creating lesson plans that are strictly set in one manner may not be the best choice for many teachers and their classes.

Some teachers will be happy to use lesson plans created by other teachers whereas others will be happy to incorporate elements of the plan into their own plans. Whatever decision is made, making lesson plans that can help children learn is something that all teachers should be aiming for.
