Google has a new webpage made for surfers to explain why it would be good to take a Google Account. Google offers many free products, the one a little better than the other. To use these products you need is a Google account with password.
The battle for the mobile user
That it is important to Google that people are logged in as they surf the Internet for several reasons. First, the user information of great value because it is crucial for further product development. But the latest mobile developments play a major role.
The group of mobile surfers is getting bigger and this group has different needs. One of those needs is location. Google maps is an excellent product for the mobile user but wants more. Information from the neighborhood look and see what your friends recommend here is becoming increasingly important. And that is exactly something that Google is hard at work. The Google social products are all flopped in America and Europe. The only way to make friends with each other via Google through the Google Account.
An example of why this is so important:
I’m in a big city and I’m looking for something good to eat.
– Then I look on Google maps for a restaurant nearby, I see if there are places that friends have recommended me. Possibly see if there is currently a discount if I place check at the restaurant and I make my choice.
– Either I moved to Facebook to look for places nearby and I do just the same as in the previous case.
Outside Facebook and Google are still way to check in somewhere. But the choice we will make here is quite dependent on what our friends use. And here is obviously a big lead in Facebook. If all your friends are active on Facebook and little on Google, then you check in on Facebook.
This seems a little way off but the first sector is a lot of returns can get is of course the tourism industry. Are you active here then I urge you to Google Places and a Facebook Places to it.
