Barcelona
I have been a continued love affair with Barcelona since my first visit in 1999. There is just something about the city which I find very captivating. I think it is its diversity. There is an excellent blend of old and new, rich and poor and the architecture is most definitely second to none. I have often contemplated moving there but never actually had the guts to do it, until recently.
I work for an international clothes company who have shops all over Europe. I work as a retail assistant. Consequently my move has been made easier by the fact that I have already been offered a job within the company I work for. I speak a little Spanish and I am hoping that I will pick more up on the way.
I still have to arrange my living accommodation and transport to and from work. I have a Buy New Chevrolet Wales car in the UK but I am thinking of selling it to give me a little cash on the side. I hope to raise approximately £5000 from the sale and this would be ideal. It would be ideal if I could find a reasonable apartment within the city itself and then I could walk to work. Alternatively I could consider learning to ride a moped. Apparently they are relatively cheap to buy and even cheaper to run. However I think I would be a little concerned about weaving in and out of the traffic. I will have to decided rather quickly as the company want me to move within the next three weeks. Fingers crossed that it all works out.
