Making space for the new car

My husband bought a really nice and expensive last week, which is great but he keeps moaning about not feeling comfortable parking it on the streets. So I told him there is only one thing for him to do, which is clean out the garage and use it to park the car overnight.

At first, his eyes lit up with joy but as soon as he realised that he’ll be doing the cleaning, he almost had tears in them. I felt really bad, so I offered to help him and it actually put a smile on his face. But then I got a sudden uneasy feeling as I knew somehow I will end up doing it on my own.

As the garage has a lot of junk, we decided to do it over a few weekends, rather than exhaust ourselves by trying to do in just one weekend. Last weekend we sorted out the ‘keep’ stuff, we had so much that we didn’t finish going through all of it and will have to continue next weekend, which has extended or cleaning by a whole weekend.

While we were cleaning, I came across some very weird things, and most of which was things we didn’t need or will need in the future. I found a box full of bicycle spares, which isn’t even ours, as we have never owned a bicycle before. I hope we get a lot done next weekend, as I don’t want to spend my weekends being stuck at home.
