The Google Earth: Experience World’s charishma with Google’s Mapping Program
In 2004 and 2005, Google launched a series of search facilities and maps which allows a certain degree of geographic information retrieval. Although services are not original (eg the existing map data licensed from Tele Atlas, a 3D software with the purchase of Keyhole), the scope of scale, and implementation services beginning to have significant impacts on the use and exchange of geographical indications. In particular, the following may contribute to the effects of Google: * the mapping software API is published and accessible to all. Google Maps and Google Local does not require any additional software other than a browser to run .The scale of the purchase and distribution of data is huge (e.g., inventory, global, large-scale mapping in the street Most developed countries, global satellite mapping, high resolution photography selected surface, databases and nomenclature postal code, etc)
Let’s describe the use of Google Earth, during and after a major earthquake that struck off the coast of damage Japan July 16, 2007 to gather and organize information and guide to the activities of recognition of the damage. This software has enabled a greater real-time collaboration among scientists and engineers. After the field survey, map, Google Earth is used as a final statement that was directly connected to the paper on more traditional research. Finally, we examine the use of software as part of an investigation of post-disaster reconnaissance, and link to Google Earth students in field situations.
The emergence of new and innovative technologies for the recognition after the earthquake is such that in these investigations, which are always new testing methods, sensors and systems to improve data collection, especially in the field of spatial information tools. During this earthquake research, we have explored a promising technology in studies of recognition of the disaster, Google Earth, a mapping software tool that allows detailed data, images and hyperlinks overlays, as well as traditional tools of geographic information system. Google Earth is software that allows viewing of images of the Earth by satellite, maps and user-defined geographic information overlays. Commercial version of the software (Google Earth Plus – Pro and Enterprise) allows varying degrees of ability to overlay data and a control input device, including GPS data and create data layers.
