SLR appointment expands commitment to the Energy from Waste market

Leading environmental firm SLR Consulting has expanded its Energy from Waste (EfW) capabilities in the UK with the appointment of Principal Engineer Manfred Spille.

Manfred, who has 25 years’ experience working on EfW projects, is tasked with supporting disciplines including Strategy, Permitting, Planning and Project implementation required on EfW schemes.

Prior to joining SLR he worked for two years as the Deputy Site Manager for the Riverside project – the largest EfW scheme in the UK – and also spent two years as a Construction Manager on the fourth line extension of the Moerdijk incinerator in the Netherlands.

Manfred has also worked for FLS Miljo, Fichtner, Von Roll, ABB and Babock on various EfW projects.

Manfred, who will be based in the Shrewsbury office, said: “I was attracted to SLR as it is a leader in the waste sector andcommitted to the EfW market.

“With my hands on experience I will support the process department in its efforts to help clients find the right technology for their future needs.”
