Chevrolet’s 100th Birthday
To mark its 100th birthday, Chevrolet returns to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2011 and a whole host of treats for the visiting public. Showcasing a number of icons, both new and old, alongside the marque’s new 2011 models is the Chevrolet Orlando, New Chevrolet Captiva and Chevrolet Cruze 5-dr, Chevrolet.
2011 USA Car of the Year, the range-extending electric Chevrolet Volt will makes its UK debut at the festival, along with Chevrolet’s two brawny performance icons, the Chevrolet Camaro and the Corvette. Iconic models from the company’s past will also star at the festival, all the cars will be displayed against a fascinating backdrop showing a journey through Chevrolet’s history in the form of a road trip, with a distinct Americana theme.
Chevrolet’s 2010 British Touring Car Driver’s Championship winning team will also feature as part of the event to bring the story full circle, so guests are expected to see at least one of the BTCC Chevrolet Cruzes attacking the hill in anger. The Festival of Speed kicks off this year on Thursday 30th June 2011 with the Moving Motor Show, and runs until Sunday 3rd July 2011.
