The programme is hailed as a massive success despite rarely pulling in more than about 6.5 million viewers.The relationship between the Doctor and Rose is particularly refreshing. David Tennant as the new doctor is brilliant. He combines several trademarks from previous Doctors and throws in new ones. The further I watched the better it got. Apart from that the show is great. The doctor is a three dimensional and complicated character. Doctor Who dvd set is a Great British invention and is worth watching.
