A Consistent Increase in Wheat Cultivation in Anhui Province
Although many parts of Anhui province have suffered serious drought, but the farmers still mange to get a harvest in wheat cultivation. Driven by the agricultural science and the beneficial policies, farmers reap over 12.2billion kilogram wheat, which outweighs the harvest in last year by 1.4%. Up to this year, there has been a consistent increase in wheat cultivation in Anhui Province for eight years.
It is pointed out that even though in these eight years, there were serious natural disasters almost every year, but by adopting advanced technologies and following the beneficial policies, the farmers have managed to overcome obstacles. Meanwhile, large sums of funds have been pumped into the agriculture by both the government and the farmers. In such economic climate, the price of many necessary foods is on the rise and ordinary people have less confidence of consumption in the future. However the harvest in wheal cultivation conveys an important message that there can be an abundant supply of daily food and also the price of these foods will not increase at a high speed.
