How do you think of insanity

By now most people have at least tried and/or completed the latest fitness insanity DVD program from Beachbody Trainer Shaun Thompson (Shaun T for short) called Insanity—the Cardio based fitness program. If not, then hopefully you have at least seen the informercials. At the end of March Beachbody is rumored to be releasing the sequel to the program called Insanity: The Asylum, which is a 30 day program that combines both cardio and strength training (similar to the popular Insanity/P90X hybrid programs that you can find online).

So with the release of Insanity: The Asylum, what are you supposed to do to prepare your body for what is to come? Here’s what I’m doing—if you’ve already been through the 60 day Insanity program (which I hope you have if you are looking for information to the sequel—if not, stop wasting your time on this article!) and/or P90X, what I put together was a 30 day workout combining both the workouts from Insanity month 1 and workouts from month 2.If you’ve already completed the program, you no doubt know by now that most people see more results from the month 2 workouts. The month two workouts are longer, more intense, more tiring, but do get more results.

For the first week I’m taking a week of the Month 1 Insanity workouts (the Cardio Power & Resistance, Plyo Intervals, and Pure Cardio), for weeks 2 and 3 I’m using two of the weeks from month 2 (the longer, more intense workouts—Max Interval Cardio, Max Interval Plyo, etc.) and then for a recovery week I’m going back a week of the month 1 workouts. Not only is this a good recap of getting back into the Cardio groove, it’s a good way to go back and shed some of that extra fat between other Beachbody programs. Remember, keep your eye out for Insanity
