BodyPost Women’s Capri Pants Review
oday I went in search of the right Capri. No, I’m not talking about the 1970s Ford motor car, but a comfortable pair of cropped athletics pants that can also be worn just to strolling around, or even be thrown together with a pair of heels for an impromptu night on the city. I understand that a perfect pair for all these actions is hard to find, so I went for a search in the market and I started with two leading sportswear company, one was BodyPost’s newly released the Women’s Sports Spandex Pants and other one was Sport Capris from Adidas Studio.
I was planning to select one of them to accompany me in my summer trip to Hawaii and give it a place as part of my daily athletics kit! The pants consist of the Adidas CLIMALITE system built into the fabric, designed to wick moisture away from the body. On the other side, the BodyPost Spandexpants are of bright coral color with dark anthracite and black color. BodyPost pants also have their state of the art climalite alternative, which is the BodyPost moisture transport system.
Both claim to do the same job, which is to keep you cool and dry during the most intense exercises sessions. So far so good. The Adidas pants are available in three color combinations – “black/candy/pink”, “fresh candy/phantom” and “black/macaw”. The main color on each pant is the black or phantom (which appears to be a different shade of black) with an attractive contrasting colored waistband. Design wise the Adidas version is sporty style and casual with the Adidas logo attached just below the waistband. BodyPost Capri pants are a little more different with an attractive ‘cutout’ design on the backside with gathering detail at the bottom of each leg.
Both the pants have a deep waistband so that it is suited to all types of figures. However, the BodyPost pants also have a drawstring waist option, which is great for adjusting to your own requirements. A new material used for the Adidas capri pants is called sueded polyester which feels very soft and lovely. But I felt that it may become uncomfortable to wear in hot climates or during an extreme working session.
The BodyPost capri pants are manufactured as spandex pants, which I thought might give a “clingy” look, but the pants only include a touch of spandex which accentuates your figure without appearing at all clingy. The Adidas pants come in four sizes and will cost $40, while the BodyPost ones have three size options and will cost only $29.50 which seems wallet-friendly. All in all, based on my expectations of what I want from a pair of capris, I think that the BodyPost product had the edge.
The Adidas version were excellent in quality, and had a very sporty appearance and feel to them, but I was searching for something which is more versatile. The eye catching design features of the BodyPost spandex pants will enable me to wear them on any occasions whilst on vacation, and the high performance sports features will also make them an excellent addition to my sports collection when I bring it home.
