Mini History of Tag Link Chrono – Choice of Matt Damon
People around me all knows that I am a massive James Bond fan. I love the action, the romance and the spy storyline seems to appeal to some primeval genetic code in me. I never thought I would find a set of films as good as the Bond series, but the Bourne Series comes pretty close to triggering that same primeval gene that the Bond series does!So as you might imagine, as a big fan of the Bourne Series, I just have to discover something more about the watch that is worn in the films. Here I would love to share the mini history of Tag Link Chrono ‘Bourne’
The Tag Link Chrono developed a core fan base after Matt Damon wore this very watch in the Bourne Identity. The Link Chrono CT1110 was produced in 2001, and came in Black, Blue and Silver/White dials.
A few years later, Tag updated the dial, by removing the large 3 and 9 from the dial and replacing them with stick markers. This therefore made the older numerical dial somewhat of a collector’s item for the core fan base, and very hard to get hold of.
The numerical dial in blue and silver is for sale quite often, and the black/blue stick marker dial are for sale quite often, but trying to find a black ‘numerical dial’ requires some patience.
Then in 2005, the Link Chrono was given yet another upgrade. This time Tag changed the whole case, bracelet and dial design. It looks much more modern and smoother, but personally, I prefer the older version, it looks more rugged.
