Providence: used car is no match for new 10K pace car

In the old days (as in last year), athletes of all kinds from all over the world were competing to not be the leader of the race. Although this may seem counterintuitive, the goal of many was to be in second place until the very end of the race and then pass the leader just before the finish line in order to capture the winning title. But why would an athlete in the “old days” want to race like this? Simple, before this year, every pace car burned gasoline, which meant athletes leading the race, i.e. competing directly behind this vehicle, were breathing in toxic chemicals that no doubt had effects on their body”s ability to perform.

But the “old days” are gone and the future has officially arrived. Late last year, Nissan released the world”s first ever mass-produced 100 percent electric vehicle, the Nissan LEAF. As was expected, the NissanLEAF slid seamlessly into the lives of countless of people all over the globe as they strived to continue their modern, hustle and bustle lifestyles, while reducing their carbon footprint. Nissan engineers of course had these types of consumers in mind when they were designing and inventing the Nissan LEAF. Little did they know, the NissanLEAF would fill another role in society as well.

The Nissan_LEAF has been summoned to be the pace car at many of the world”s top athletic events, including the well-known 10k race, the Bolder Boulder, which takes place annually in Boulder, Colorado. The Bolder Boulder has been in place since 1979 but this year was the first running of the 10k where the leader actually wanted to be the leader the whole race; running behind the zero emissions LEAF proved no harm done on the winner of this year”s race, Jeremy Freed, who completed the course in a staggering thirty minutes and twenty-eight seconds, a pace of four minute and fifty-four second miles. That pace is so fast some used cars from local Providence used car dealerships may have a hard time keeping up.

The use of the Nissan_LEAF in athletic competitions will likely only increase as the vehicle comes more and more readily available. What”s more, the Nissan LEAF is also being used in fleet car situations, such as vehicles used by government or city officials and, again, will only continue to do so as the vehicle is produced at higher quantities. The benefit of the Nissan LEAF to literally each and every citizen on earth is undeniable and thus, it is a vehicle desired by a number of different people for a number of different uses. For this reason, the Nissan LEAF has so much more to offer the world than those used cars at the Providence used car dealership.

For more information on the Nissan LEAF and its availability, visit your local Nissan dealership in Providence. Nissan Murano vehicles will be found alongside the Nissan LEAF models, along with other well selling models made by Nissan. Seeing these bigger vehicles that are practical for larger families and those with hauling needs, gives one hope that someday the Providence Nissan Murano dealership will sell 100% electric Nissan Murano vehicles right alongside the 100% electric Nissan LEAF.
