Trumbull Mercedes dealers announce CLS pricing

When you’ve got a little extra money to spend, what do you choose to treat yourself to? Some people say appliances, some say clothes or jewelry, and some others say extravagant trips. But one of the most exciting items you can splurge on is a high quality luxury vehicle from the local Trumbull Mercedes dealers. If you’ve never been there, I have the perfect Mercedes Benz vehicle for you to consider – the 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS four-door coupe.

This latest generation marks a major revision for the CLS class (as compared to the Trumbull used cars with the same name). Though I’ve always loved this vehicle, this newest version is quickly becoming my new favorite thanks to both its updated appearance and power. From a visual standpoint, the 2012 four-door coupe is 1.2” longer and wider than its predecessor, and when it comes to power there are new bi-turbo direct-injection V8 engines.

There are two trims available on this four-door coupe: the CLS550 and the CLS63 AMG. Pricing for the CLS class models does vary. The CLS550 starts at $71,300; the CLS550 4Matic starts at $73,800. The high-performance CLS63 AMG starts at $94,900 (plus $875 delivery charges). If you’ve got the money to spend, this is what I recommend!

Each of these trims feature all-wheel drive, but have different engines and output. Here’s a little information you might want to know about the engines.

The CLS550 is powered by a new 4.6-liter direct-injection twin-turbo V8 engine. This powerplant produces an impressive 402 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque and also features the brand’s new electrically assisted power steering, Airmatic air suspension, and a revised seven-speed automatic transmission. The CLS550 is reported to earn an estimated 18 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. Pretty impressive for a sports car!

The next model on the line-up is the CLS63 AMG. This version is equipped with a 5.5-liter version of the new direct-injection V8 engine. The engine produces 518 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. On this model, drivers can even add the AMG Performance Package, which will get them 550 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. The CLS63 AMG delivers 15 miles per gallon in the city and 23 miles per gallon on the highway.

One feature which I especially love on the CLS63 AMG is the ECO stop/start system. Thanks to this system, the engine stops while in park or neutral, and as soon as the driver releases the brake, the engine computer decides which piston is in the best position for first ignition, and the direct fuel injection and multispark systems work with a starter motor to restart the engine on the fly.
Each of the CLS models also feature top of the line safety features for you and your family. Among the included features are Pre-Safe, ABS antilock brakes with Brake Assist, Attention Assist, traction control and the ESP electronic stability control. Other available features are Active Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist.

I think you will love the 2012 CLS four-door sedan as much as I do, but don’t just take my word for it. Head to one of your local Trumbull Mercedes dealers, where they also sell high quality Trumbull used cars, for more information.
