Chicago Mercedes-Benz dealers part of global achievement
Mercedes-Benz has always been one of a kind. For drivers, this means that wherever you happen to pick up your newest Mercedes, whether it be in Germany or around the block at your Chicago Mercedes-Benz dealer, you can be sure to expect a high-quality vehicle with outstanding performance and driver-friendly customizing options.
Now, drivers are truly taking notice of Mercedes-Benz the world over. Last month, the company experienced its highest sales ever for the month of May, earning 108,766 sales throughout the world. This figure is up 7.3 percent from this time last year.
In year-to-date figures, as well, Mercedes-Benz is doing better in 2011 than 2010. This time last year, Mercedes-Benz had sold 443,394, but this year, sales are up 10.5 percent, hitting 490,021.
The automaker credits increased sales in the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) as significant contributors to the improved performance. In particular, these countries show promise for 2011 and well into the future because they are carrying lower debt than other countries and also because they tend to purchase cars on credit less often than buyers elsewhere.
Analysts in the auto industry anticipate the BRIC nations will continue pushing car sales in the years ahead. Specifically, China shows immense promise as it is now the world’s largest auto market and has been since 2009, when it surpassed the United States. Chinese car sales in March 2011 were 6.5 percent above those of the same month in 2010.
Mercedes also credits much of its sales success in 2011 to its C-class coupe, which has been built to please drivers who want a comfortable mix of speed and control on the road. Chicago Mercedes C-class drivers choose the model in part for its sleek design, including features of the AMG Sports Package like 18-inch alloy wheel trims.
Mercedes-Benz wants drivers to be able to match the versatility of the car when it comes to taste. That’s why it gives drivers the option of five different engines (three petrol and two diesel). The automaker refuses to overlook a focus on affordability. Wallet-friendly engine options peak at the CDI BlueEFFICIENCY with ECO start/stop and manual six-sped transmission on the C220 model.
However, as excited as Chicago Mercedes C-class drivers are about their cars, there’s no dampening the recent interest in the M-class line, which was introduced earlier this month. The M-class 4×4 is the luxury market’s response to popular competitor Range Rover. But, of course, focus remains on the driver, who, when it comes to the M-class, is pampered with a roomy interior and a number of helpful programming tools.
M-class drivers share the same exposure to options as C-class drivers. In particular, M-class drivers can choose from among three engine options: a four-cylinder diesel, a V6 diesel or a V6 petrol. Future M-class drivers can also anticipate a hybrid diesel option. Mercedes-Benz’s engine upgrades fuel rumors that car insurance incentives may be in store for drivers with a green streak.
