Remove DRM from Nook, how to remove/strip drm from nook epub

I am a reader and i have a lot of purchase from Barnes and Noble, but recently i want to switch to sony reader because i found it more stylish and neat, the problem is, i can’t transport my Barnes and Noble purchased nook book to any other devices since they are DRM protected, then i did some research about the DRM thing(my past opinions is vague but slightly in favor of DRM as the trade off for convenience) and came to the conclusion that.. DRM in ebooks is such a mess!

The common understanding, both from readers and publishers is that there should be a industry standard for book format, and by far this industry standard should be epub, a format that is supported by both my nook and Sony reader, plus ibooks, without kindle, of course, but in real practice it is not that smooth to transport epub from nook to sony readers or ibooks installed ipad or ipod, because even the same epub file is protected by different DRM systems such as apple’s fair play or adobe’s and Barnes and Nobel’s DRM systems.

So what should i do as a most avid reader who read too often and too quickly and want the freedom to transport my nook DRM protected books to Sony reader, or even amazon kindle?

Since i believe that if for personal use(not piracy), it is perfectly legitimate to remove drm from my nook, it’s my book, i should be given the right to keep it as i see fit.

There are ways of stripping DRM from nook, what i choose to do is to remove DRM with a software called nook DRM removal, small and effective, a fine choice for guys who likes to keep things simple. Just input the DRM protected nook books, then click “Remove DRM”

Thus nook becomes more attractive.

Maybe some day i will switch to kindle, in that case a software called cabire might comes in handy, it can convert books to almost any other formats, so i’d be able to read nook purchased epub books on a kindle in azw format.
