2011 Wimbledon Tennis tournament
I couldn’t believe I will be going to an event that I have only dreamt of going to; it’s an event that celebrates the start of the 2011 Wimbledon Championships. I managed to win two tickets to the event on a radio game show last week, when the radio presenter said I had won; I was so excited that I nearly passed out.
Before I could call my sister to ask if she will like to join me, she rang me, screaming out of excitement and telling me that the second ticket is hers. After she calmed down, we talked for ages about which tennis players we will see and what we should wear.
I can’t believe I’ll be meeting the all best women’s tennis players and many celebrities including Alex James, George Lamb, Sam and Holly Branson, Jared Followill (The Kings of Leon), Tinie Tempah, Kirsty Allsopp, Alex Jones, Twiggy, Patsy Kensit, Holly Vallance, Vic Reeves and Eliza Doolittle, as they all will be attending the event at the Roof Gardens in Kensington.
The event is sponsored by Range Rover in conjunction with the new Range Rover Evoque, which will be displayed at the event. The event celebrates the rise of fashion within tennis, with designers including Vivienne Westwood and Stella McCartney who create dresses for some of the top female tennis players.
I also bought us centre court tickets to the 2011 Wimbledon Tennis tournament which starts on 20th June 2011 and which is celebrating its 125th year.
