La Jolla Caves
Together with the beaches La Jolla presents the San Diego area, it also includes a few very detailed caves. The caves of La Jolla are great for tours, exploring, or anyone looking to see the best of La Jolla.
Carved into the sandstone cliffs of La Jolla, there are seven caves. Often times, you could visit all seven of the said caves by sea kayak. Although all but then one are achievable by foot, you need to be very careful when minus tides sweep the area.
The Sunny Jim Cave is one of the most demanded and well known caves of La Jolla. You could enter via the Cave Store by paying a small fee. There are 145 steep steps to get between the cave, which is awesome for exploring and seeing the area.
The cave store may tell you a lot of things about the caves, together with tours. If you plan to see the La Jolla area of San Diego, the caves can be a great place to explore. Those of you who have kids tagging along for the trip, should remember to be very attentive – as the caves give a lot of beauty – they could also present a lot of warning as well.
