The Secret to Beautiful Hair
I also changed my diet. I cut way down on meats, especially beef. The doc said that beef was pretty much a killer with its high fat content. I started making salads with a bit of chicken or turkey. I added cranberries, walnuts or crushed Brazil nuts, broccoli and carrots. Tomatoes gave the salad moisture. I took this to work for lunch instead of going out for junk food. The lunches made me feel lighter and more energetic. I got more work done with cheap full lace wigs. I was beginning to feel great and I was saving a ton of money.
Often, I would prepare a dinner and take it to the park not far from home. It was so beautiful sitting under the trees, listening to the birds and watching small animals I had never noticed before. The sunsets were gorgeous. Even with people strolling by, it was peaceful and quiet. Watching the warm glow of lights in the homes coming on made me feel warm and cheerful, even in winter.
The feeling carried over when I returned home. I got some weights and started exercising in front of the TV. They were nothing heavy, just 3 to 5 pounds to start, and only to keep me from losing muscle while I lost weight. Soon however, that warm burning sensation I got from the exercise became addictive and I found myself adding a bit of weight and doing more. I began to feel really proud of myself.
My weight began to drop; I increased my walks to include a bicycle and later some jogging. My hair slowly began to return. It came back thicker and healthier looking than before. All the time I spent away from the salon helped nature to heal the damage I had done to it.
So here are a few of my “secrets” to beautiful hair:
Exercise is the most important element in getting beautiful hair.
Start out small and human hair lace front wigs yourself up. No matter how small, some exercise is better than no exercise. But most important, make it a habit. When you first start out, you have to make yourself do it. Later, it becomes a habit and finally, you find yourself scheduling other activities around your exercise routine. Join a gym, or better still, take up martial arts. You will get the benefits of exercise and also learn to defend yourself.
You will also find that exercise will dull your appetite. I know that sounds backwards, but it’s true. Also, building muscle will burn off fat. You don’t want to look like the female Schwartzenegger, but a firm body will definitely turn heads. You will walk smoother, lighter and with more grace than you ever thought possible. Believe me; it is well worth the effort it takes.
