Doesn’t Your Partner Want to Move? What to Do?
You may face a lot of problems if you’ve decided to move to London. But perhaps the worst of them is your partner to refuse to follow you. What can you do if you’re in such situation?
If you have a family, all decisions should be taken together. You can’t just wake up one morning and tell your wife/husband that you want to move to the capital of the UK. Removals London touch the whole family nearly and should be thought out. When there are people who rely on you, it’s not time for impulsive decisions and rash acts. So… before discussing your partner’s reaction, you should answer to this question: “Are you sure that you want to move to London?”. If so, then let’s see what can be done…
1. Follow closely your husband/wife
Sit down and have a talk with your partner why he/she doesn’t want to relocate. Take a deep breath and just listen. Don’t you even think to say something like “You don’t love me and that’s why you refuse!”, “You’ve always been an obstacle for my career!”, “ You just do it to drive me crazy!” and so on… It’s not time to blame each other. The purpose of this conversation is to try to understand your partner’s point of view. Why don’t you assume for a second that he/she might be right? Give a chance to your wife/husband to explain what bothers her/him.
2. Now it’s your turn
Share your reasons. Don’t try to convince your partner that you’re right. Just explain your motives to want so much to move. Is it because you found a better job? Or perhaps because you want to live in more lively place? Or it’s just because you need a change? If you don’t try to drive your husband/wife into a corner, there will be a bigger chance he/she to understand you and to agree with you.
Nothing else could really solve your problems apart of a good conversation. If you both decide that you should move to London, then just call a removal company London and pack up your stuff.
