Lace Wig – Free Style Parting Tips
The beauty of lace wigs is the ability to part or style the hair in any way imaginable…just like you would do with your own hair. This means however you want to style the wig, you can do so. If you want to make a part, wear a ponytail, make bangs, wrap the hair, etc. you can do. When you receive your wig or hairpiece most of the time all the hair is flowing straight back. If you desire a part on the right side or want to make a bang or just style the hair differently… many people have trouble doing this because the hair does not seem to flow in the direction they would like. Not all wigs have this problem but if you encounter this problem here is the solution.
Wash or wet the hair! Use a spray bottle if the wig is attached to your head or if the wig isn’t attached, you can use the faucet. After wetting or washing the hair- comb the hair in the direction you want it to flow. Once the hair is in the desired styled let the hair air dry and then curl or style it as desired. Sometimes the hair must be trained. Don’t panic, be patient and the hair will soon go with the flow. Once the hair is trained you will not continue to have the same problem. If you have a curly style, take caution. Be sure the type of curl you have is a memory curl and remains curly after washing it. Some curls are not permanent and I wouldn’t want you to wash them away by mistake. If you have curly lace wigs and you’re not sure just use some moisturizer or holding spray and comb into the desired style.
