Ways to Make Your Flyers Attractive
While mimeographed or risographed flyers are common because they are cheap, it is also nice to have colored flyers printed on good quality paper so that it stands out above the rest. These kinds of flyers are not usually thrown away immediately. Because they have a colored front, people will be most likely attracted to it and get them to read the front portion.
If they turn the flyer around, they might see that it is only one-color flyer printing but it doesn’t matter anymore because they already started reading and they got interested on the topic so they will most probably continue reading.
Economical Size
Use the size of 1/3 of a short bond paper, or about the size of a tri-brochure. This is like the standard size of brochures so when you put your flyers on stands, they will fit perfectly. This will also save you some money on paper. While most flyers come in half of a bond paper size, you can save money with 1/3 because one ream of paper will make you 1,500 copies instead of just 1000 with the half of a bond paper size.
Full Color Front
Make your layout on the front in full color. Use attractive images and a bold headline that will make the people interested to pick up your flyer and read it all the way to the back part. You should make the front part speak directly to the reader so that they will be interested to read some more.
Good Quality Paper
If you use good quality paper, which is thicker than the ones used for risographed flyers, you can print on the back side without seeing the letters and image leach onto the front part. So you get to utilize the back side of the flyer without distorting the front. Additionally, you will get the people to be curious about your flyer. If you are willing to spend on good quality material for your flyers, they will think that you really have something interesting to say or offer to them.
One Color Back
Full color printing for the front and back of the flyer can be very expensive. But in order to save on printing cost and still achieve the same purpose for your flyer, compromise on your printing in terms of specs but not quality. While you have a full color front part, have a one-color print for the back, such as black ink. You can use this part for your explanation with some diagrams and a few photos that will still look good even with one color printing.
Appendages
If you want additional information in your flyers that are just seasonal promotions, you may want to have these risographed and then stapled at the back of the colored flyer. That way you can say more without having to print another set of colored flyers. It will not really take a lot of time or effort to do. You can even have your secretary or cashier do the stapling on their free time. It is a no-brainer task.
There are many ways to make your flyers attractive without making them cost too much. Make use of compromise when having your flyer printing so that you will be able to convey your message to your target market in a cost-effective way.
