The Hip Hop Scene and its History

Hip Hop has been a popular music genre with adolescents since it was created. The youth that reside in city areas have always been able to wholly relate to Hip Hop. Hip Hop has evolved from a music genre to a way of life since it was created in the 70s. From its style to its distinctive views of the world, Hip Hop has altered the worth of music. When it comes to music in general, Hip Hop is in all probability the most influential.

Keith Wiggins was the first one to use the word Hip Hop in relation to the music in the 70s. He is considered to be the one who gave the genre its certified label. He was a piece of the super group Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. This group was one of the first and played a key part in the creation of a fan base for the music. Of course, there were other groups that were just as valuable to the young Hip Hop scene such as The Sugar Hill Gang and the first female group, The Sequence.

DJ Kool Herc, or Clive Campbell, is possibly the most influential innovator in Hip Hop. He is recognized for starting Hip Hop. Going against the popular scene, he created one the best genres of all time. Hip Hop music was initially fashioned by DJ’s who shaped a fusion of funk, rock, and Latin percussion in the background. This led to the formation of a new musical genre, Hip Hop. DJ’s are responsible for the creation of Hip Hop. Break dancing united in the movement as the breaks that DJ’s formed were perfect for B-Boys. DJ’s and B-Boys were the first in the Hip Hop game. After they began to get more fashionable, Emcees began joining with the DJ’s and rapped over the mixes. Emcees renovated the genre and made it the crucial point of the youth in the forthcoming decades. Emcees began rapping about their life in the ghetto, which other urban kids could relate to. Rapping became a kind of poetry that is spoken with a precise rhythm, which is dictated by the beat.

Hip Hop is especially different now compared to the first Hip Hop songs. Graffiti, break dancing, and DJ’s aren’t as valuable as they once used to be. As the world changes, Hip Hop keeps adapting. The urban community is what is responsible for shifting the Hip Hop genre. A lot of people believe that Hip Hop should go back to its roots more. Others perceive Hip Hop as an ever changing lifestyle. Whatever you may think, there is no doubt that Hip Hop is one of the most influential music genres in the world.
