Curing Yeast Infections And Preventing Further Attacks
I have been trying to get rid of this yeast infection that I have had for a week now. I went to the store as advised by my friends and got some Monistat 3. I used it and it did take away the itch and the discharge wasn’t coming out as heavy anymore. It finally cleared it up completely on the 5th day, until my boyfriend and I had sex and during it we discovered some of the cloudy discharge was left on his peenis from me. Was that still the discharge from the yeast infection or is that just normal? So my question is: how do i completely get rid of a yeast infection? Any tips for curing yeast infections and preventing further attacks?
If you read around the internet you will find many women who have similar problems just like the one above – as far as yeast infection is concerned. The above question was asked by this lady who wondered if she still had yeast or if she had treated it. I will try to give an answer to this question here and also provide links to some good sites from where you can get help with your yeast infection problem, and also give you some few tips and tricks you can use to prevent further yeast infection attacks.
Some women just take longer to get rid of yeast infections no than others. I would advise that instead of the 3 days cure, use the 7 days treatments for this condition. Also your boyfriend can get it as well and you can just keep passing it back and forth. It’s the equivalent of jock itch.
To lesson your chances of getting one:
1. Don’t wear tight clothing
2. Dry yourself completely after a shower or bath
3. Don’t wear a wet swim suit for a long period of time
4. Eat yogurt w/ “live cultures” in it. (yoplait has it)
The over the counter medication usually will not clear up a yeast infection. It only eases the symptoms. You need to contact your doctor and get a prescription. As already said, your boyfriend should be treated as well. Men do not show symptoms like women do, so he could have it as well and not even know it.
It is true that you should wait to have sex (unprotected) with a yeast infection. Do not use antibiotics, yeast infections are not bacterial and antibiotics can cause them or make them worse. The cloudy discharge might be normal discharge. Have the other symptoms returned? If they have you will need to go through it again, if they are recurring you might want to see your doctor. Also some birth control can cause yeast infections.
Here are some few tips my gyno gave me that can help to prevent yeast infections: sleep without panties, don’t use pads or liners unless you are having your period, use antifungal powder(your doctor can prescribe) especially if you or your boyfriend work in the heat. Your boyfriend can put this on him too; you could be passing it back and forth. Look and see if he has a red ring around his peenis (under the head)
If you really want to totally get rid of your yeast infection and stop it from ever coming back, then I suggest that you get a copy of Lida Allen’s Yeast Infection No More Guide and try out the recommendations in it.
The recommendations in this program is what helped me to finally treat my chronic and recurrent yeast infection. I had been suffering with it for so long, having multiple recurrences and nothing seemed to be working for me.
In the Yeast Infection No More Program, I discovered some things that I was doing, that were the cause of my yeast to keep recurring all these years! I have recommended this manual to so many people who like me, were fighting with recurrent, chronic yeast infection and they all treated their infection just by using the recommendations in program.
