How to solve the problem that is difficult to startup a motorcycle
With the winter coming, if the motorcycle store in a place which there is no measures to keep warm, it is always difficult to start. There are three points to explain this case.
Gasoline: in the cold weather, the gasoline oil weather drop very low. This gasoline is not easy to vaporize in the cold carburetor, so that the mixture gas contains too little gasoline and the mixture is too thin. This mixture gas is not only difficult to ignite but burn slowly, so the engine becomes difficult to start.
Lubricants: with the temperature decrease, lubricating oil viscosity increase and mobility variation, the engine to start increase resistance, using the same power and manpower to start the engine, the crankshaft connecting rod mechanism of rotation rate decrease. The gas mixture within the cylinder by the low pressure, are not easy to start.
Electric current: using motorcycle battery ignition to motorcycle in the winter, the battery inside the electrolyte viscosity increase and diffusion of mobility and variation. So that chemical reactions can not be completely carried out, resulting in power shortages to affect the start.
For above three points, the solutions as following:
Gasoline:increased the supply of gasoline started to compensate the temperature is low and the volatility of gasoline caused by poor fuel shortage. Can be taken off the choke to increased the mixture concentration. If necessary, can be a little gasoline into the cylinder or pouring boiling water into the carburetor and intake manifold to improve the carburetor temperature to promote fuel vaporization.
Lubricants: in order to reduce startup resistance, can change some of the low viscosity of the lubricant in winter. Before open the ignition switch, can step on kick starter a few times. When starting, take the transmission in neutral position and put the clutch grip close to isolate clutch to reduce the startup resistance.
Electric current: if the motorcycle battery lack of electricity, should be charged in time to ensure its fully charged. In addition, the spark plug electrode gap can be reduced from the original 0.6-0.7mm to 0.5-0.6mm, in order to facilitate the spark plug arcing.
