Dinkes and Schwitzer Discuss Different Kinds of Litigation
Dinkes and Schwitzer have seen it all over the years and have overcome many challenges, setting precedents for large settlements and high profile cases. They have obtained settlements for victims of every type of personal accident and have faced down large corporations across a wide range of industries. Today they are going to discuss some of the different kinds of cases they handle.
What are some of the different kinds of cases Dinkes and Schwitzer handle?
We handle cases where an individual has suffered injury due to the unfair actions of another. Such cases usually involve an element of negligence, incompetence or outright abuse. Most of our cases fall under the following headings: auto accidents, pharmaceutical litigation, medical malpractice, wrongful death, product liability, construction site accidents, slips and falls, general injuries in the workplace and aviation accidents.
What is the difference between pharmaceutical litigation and medical malpractice?
Medical malpractice means that someone became injured due to the negligence/incompetence of a medical practitioner. Medical practitioners are expected to follow established protocol to an acceptable standard when treating well known injuries; if they fail to do this for whatever reason they are liable to pay damages to the victim.
Pharmaceutical litigation means a person became injured as a result of using a drug. Such cases may involve poorly tested drugs with harmful side effects, or the prescription of unsuitable drugs for a specific condition. Pharmaceutical litigation is usually carried out with large pharmaceutical corporations, though they can also involve doctors, nurses, drug stores, etc.
How much do Dinkes and Schwitzer charge for their services?
In most cases Dinkes and Schwitzer will take a case with no cash paid in advance, payment is taken from any settlements awarded. However we will not take your case if we think it is unrealistic/fraudulent, only if we think you can win.
