Why Move Your Cameras
There are many different types of CCTV camera available for the security conscious manager. If you want to look after your premises then it is worth investing a little time and money into your cameras and this way helping to prevent crimes against your business and hopefully helping to catch the perpetrators and minimize damages. But which CCTV to get? There are many makes such as LG CCTV and there are many types such as IP CCTV, what are the differences and which should you choose?
Choosing the make is largely down to preference – though some makes such as LG CCTV will be better than others. You need to then after this think about the type of camera though more importantly and this is where your decision might start to affect your functionality. With IP CCTV you are buying a camera that is wireless and that means that there is a lot less difficulty involved in setting it up – you don’t have to hide cables that would otherwise run across the floors and this means you don’t have to bash into the wall cavities or pull up the carpet. That then also means that when it comes to time to move your LG CCTV cameras, you can do so much more easily without having to go through the whole process again – just pick them up and move them elsewhere – no strings attached.
So why do you need to be able to move your LG CCTV? What is the bonus of being able to do this? Well there are many bonuses and you should in fact rotate your cameras relatively often.
Firstly, if your company is a big one and the people interesting in breaking in are ‘professionals’ then that will mean a lot of planning and preparation will go into the robbery. They will then spend time to analyze such small details as where you keep your cameras and that will mean that they can avoid them without getting caught out.
Unless of course you have IP CCTV and you move them around – and this could mean that they end up getting caught out by the one you moved and that they thus did not account for. Likewise if you have yobbos hanging outside your store, they will learn where you have no CCTV – and by moving it around you will likely catch them out.
On top of this though sometimes you will simply have to move your CCTV around. For instance if you redecorate the entire premises then you might find that you now have a cupboard or something else in the way where previously you had an easy and clear view of the whole room. This then means that you need to move around your cameras to be more suited to your new layout. Unless you never intend to change your shop or your office around (either of which are very good for business) then you need to be able to do likewise with your cameras.
