Cultivating technology of Tie Guan Yin tea
Recent years, the tie guan yin tea has been selling well in the market with a rising price. However, with a wonderful taste, tie guan yin tea is not easy to be planted, especially the young tea trees, which need strictest management. To cultivate tie guan yin tea, we need to know its cultivating property firstly. Applying scientific managing technology may realize the rapidly growing, high yield and high quality of newly grew tie guan yin trees, which may get better economic benefit.
1. The roots of tieguanyin are not unprimitive, not easy to recover after injured, and capability of drought resistance and cold-resistance is weak. Tie guan yin tree has a few fibrous roots and they are transversely distributed and shallow distributed lengthways. If removing weeds and plougheding fallow too deep or too close, it may injure the roots to cause dead sprout. It would also cause a dead sprout if the earth is not pressed firmly or the roots are short of water in the period of fix planting. Therefore, the survival rate of tie guan yin tea is low and 25% lower than the rate of regular tea.
2. Tie guan yin trees are superior on the tops. People should punch the tops promptly to promote the branches and new leaves growing so as to increase production.
3. Tie guan yin trees have many buds and fructification, which may consume nutrient and should be removed promptly. Otherwise, leaves will grow slowly, which would cause late investing and underrun.
4. Poor adaptability, tieguanyin tea has a high requirement to the soil. They may grow well and output high-quality leaves only in the sticky loamy soil with thick layer.
