Heel Tastic Review And Why You Should Look After Your Feet
I love running and have done so for basically all of my life. That is until a year or so ago. These days, I cannot run to save myself. What has happened to me is that my knees are shot and my feet are terribly sore. Who would have thought that these days, I would be more interested in health products, massage oils and Heel Tastic than I would be in appropriate running shoes and trendy running outfits.
So in looking back over my life, I can understand why my knees and feet are in the condition that they are today.
First off, when I started out running in my teens, I did not have the money or the wisdom to know that by investing in quality footwear, I would be investing in my health. The best advice that I would give to anyone starting out on running as part of their fitness regime, would be to invest in quality footwear specifically designed to meet your individual needs. Tell the salesperson, what you need the shoes for and generally, they will be able to let you know if they are suitable for your particular needs. It would also pay you to have these shoes properly fitted. It is very easy to buy shoes that are either too big or too small and the ramifications of either are that your body will be impacted upon.
The second thing that I would do differently, would be that I would choose where I ran much more carefully. As an example, I would try and avoid running on pavements and roads where possible, instead opting to run on grass or tracks which are not as harsh as solid, man made surfaces.
The implication for me today for not considering these two things more seriously, is that my running days are well and truly over. These days I have a daily regime of rubbing oil into my knees after taking some anti-inflammatory pills and I also rub Heel Tastic into my heels to help with the dryness and cracking around my heels.
As you can imagine, this is not a pleasant thing to be faced with each day and whenever I see someone out running, I do feel a touch of sadness knowing that I can no longer do this. On the other hand, I realise that my problem is minor and that there are many others worse off than me. This is something that I am very grateful for and I know that there are plenty of people in beds or wheelchairs that would love to just have my problem and not theirs.
In summing up, use my experience as an example and make sure you look after your knees and your feet by watching where you run and make sure you have quality, appropriate footwear.
