The Chinese birth chart
The Chinese birth chart, or some called it Chinese Conception Chart or Chinese Gender Chart, was discovered from a 700 year old Chinese royal tomb, and is rumoured to reach accuracy level of 90% when used correctly.It is a simple matrix system, cross referencing the mother’s LUNAR age, and the LUNAR month of conception. Remember, it works on LUNAR calendar, or the Chinese calendar to make your prediction.
The Whelan method
There is also the Whelan method, which was created by Doctor Elizabeth Whelan, who specialized in this area and is believed to be almost seventy percent accurate. Granted, this is not as good as the rumoured ninety percent accuracy of the Chinese method, but it is definitely higher than the standard fifty-fifty chance you have if you do nothing at all.
The Whelan method suggests that, in order to conceive a boy, the couple is to have intercourse 4 to 6 days before the female’s basal body temperature increases. She believes that having sex earlier in the woman’s monthly cycle will increase the probability in producing male offspring.
The Magical Caffeine
Another rumoured way, which is a lot more fun than keeping track of days and numbers, is to give your man a large dose of caffeine before you hit the sack. Supposedly, caffeine gets those Y-chromosomes pumping, so the sperm carrying these little guys will swim faster than the other ones. If you believe this, then get that coffee ready or keep a large bottle of soda on your night table!
