Common Sex Problems in Men and Women
A sex problem is also referred as a sexual dysfunction. It is a problem which occurs in any of the stages of sexual cycle like the excitement stage, plateau stage, orgasm stage and resolution stage. There are many types of common sex problems in men and women. These problems are common in 43 of females and 31% of men. People hesitate to discuss this topic. Many of these sex problems are curable but it is important to share and discuss with your doctor and partner.
In women there are 4 kinds of common sex problems. These include:
1. Desire disorders- when a woman has a less desire or no desire in having sex it is considered as a desire disorder. A doctor should be consulted immediately.
2. Arousal disorder- when a woman doesn’t feel sexual response in her body or cannot stay aroused sexually, it leads to arousal disorder.
3. Orgasmic disorders- when a woman experiences pain during orgasm or can’t have an orgasm, she is believed to have an orgasmic disorder.
4. Sexual pain disorders- when women experience pain after or during the sex, it is obvious that she has a sexual pain disorder.
Sex problems are caused by many things. Many medications like chemotherapy drugs and oral contraceptives are available. The most common causes of sexual disorders are vaginal infections or excessive consumption of alcohol. High blood pressure or diabetes can also contribute to sex problems. The stresses related to routine can lead to common sex problems in men and women. The most common sexual problems in men are premature ejaculation, inhibited sexual desire and erectile dysfunction.
1. Premature ejaculation- the ejaculation which occurs soon after or before penetration is known as premature ejaculation. Inhibited ejaculation is very slow. The causes of premature ejaculation are traumatic events in the past, strict religious background etc. It is one of the most common sex problems in men.
2. Inhibited sexual desire- it is the loss of libido. The desire for sexual activity is decreased to a great extent. The causes are psychological or physical factors. The testosterone hormones are in reduced levels. Anxiety and depression can also be the factors responsible for it.
3. Erectile dysfunction- It is the inability to maintain or attain erection which is suitable for intercourse. The causes of erectile dysfunction may be nerve disorders, atherosclerosis etc. Psychological factors like depression, anxiety and stress can also contribute to this problem.
There are many treatments available for these common sex problems in men and women. Proper attention should be paid and the doctor should be immediately consulted.
