Tata Motors is again in the news and this time again for a new launch. Now, Tata Motors steps ahead with a new SUV for the Indian customers which is said to be designed under the Land Rover concept. New Tata Safari Merlin, as named by the company is going to feature the traits of the existing Tata Safari SUV and an outer body adapted from the Land Rover SUVs. Tata Safari Merlin will come with a massive engine configuration. This SUV will be equipped wit a 2.2-litre DiCOR engine of 2179cc which returns a highest power of 140bhp at 4000 rpm at and a maximum torque of 320 Nm at 1700 rpm. Tata Safari Merlin SUV uses the X2 platform which enables strong hydro-formed chassis sections and improved Powertrain package with modified gearbox as per the Tata Merlin specifications. The performance that this SUV will render is going to be undoubtedly world class which is proven by the older Tata Safari SUV. This gigantic machine is going to be 4650 mm in length, 1918 mm wide and 1925 mm in height.
