Lead Acid Battery Adding Water Method of Electric Vehicles

Comparing to the maintenance-free battery, these batteries need to add water frequently. The consumers should pay attention to the following details about adding water methods of lead acid battery.
1. In the usage process, the water will be normal loss, and then cause the level down. So you should open the cover on a regular basis to check every cell’s liquid level height. Please note: In any case, ensure the plates are completely covered by the electrolyte, and if you use it with lack of water, it will greatly shorten the lifespan.
2. In the normal condition, higher the temperature is, more frequently and longer time you use the battery, the water loses more quickly.
Check cycle of normal liquid level: once every half a month in the summer, while once every month in the winter.
For those batteries that are used for over one year, shorten the check cycle according to the condition.
3. Please do use the distilled water or deionized water, ban the use of tap water, well water, or general river water, or directly add acid to the battery. Please note: foreign ion of the general water is too much, and it will damage the battery.
4. Please add water after it is fully charged. Before charging, if the plates show the liquid level, you should add water to cover the plates, and then after charging, you should add liquid up to the normal height.
5. Please add water to the fluid level gauge.
