To select the perfect running top between BodyPost and Under Armour
To select the perfect running top between BodyPost and Under Armour, I tried both for some activities and judged their performance to find my winner. Both tops are of a similar style, and both claim to offer cutting edge technology to enhance performance in all running conditions. I tried both kits with an experiment of 5 mile running and judged the comfort ability, quality, look and technical performance of keeping me cool and dry during the run. My first impression of the BodyPost tank top was that it looked great, but I wasn’t convinced that a garment that had such an emphasis on style would have much substance.
I have to say that I was very pleasantly proved wrong on this, and the BodyPost moisture transport system that is incorporated into the fabric definitely did the job – I still felt cool and dry even towards the end of my faced paced five mile run. It also includes a built in bra that offers extra bust support and boast up my confidence throughout high intensity work pressure. The top also stayed firmly in place during the run – there is nothing more annoying than a vest that “rides up” when exercising, and I am pleased to say I did not face this problem. After a long sprint I was tired and unable to change my cloths for about half an hour. But by this time I found my vest fully dry and there’s been no symptom that I was running so long! I would also feel positive enough to wear this top after a work out session, for example, to stop for a drink in the bar at the gymnasium, without having to change into something else, as it is very flattering fit and look.
After using the running vest, I washed it with my daily laundry, and it came out looking just as good with no need to iron. It was dry and ready a few hours later ready to be worn again. 2 different sizes and three different colors are available. All these features come with just $28 including free delivery.
On the other hand the Women Interval Singlet by Under Armour is chiefly designed as a serious piece of running kit and you will get top quality performance from it. I selected the medium which is my usual size, however, I needed to exchange for a large size, due to the small sizing of this tops.
The Moisture Transport System and the strategic ventilation technology in Under Armour tops give you good result on the run. However, I did feel slightly uncomfortable as the back of the garment appeared to pull surprisingly. But it didn’t create a big problem. It also consists of an anti-odor system that keeps you aesthetically pleasant throughout long run.
The top, however, does not include any bust support, which I feel is a vital factor for me when choosing a tank top for running. It is also a little loose and baggy; depending on your choice, you may prefer something more feminine and fitted. It will give you good result in running and athletic environment but you need to change it as soon as you finish your activity.
Based on all of the above criteria, my overall winner is the BodyPost Athletic Generator Top. The main reasons why I chose this top are based on the added bust support and more feminine and fitted look, whilst still having the cooling and dryness technology offered by the Under Armour top.
