All claims for loss or damage of goods shall be submitted to the company. Such claims must be made within 15 days of delivery of the goods with written notification. One must mention about the claimed amount within 30 days of delivery.

The law of the State of Delhi limits the company to pay the value of actual loss or damage to maximum of Rs. 25 per Kg per article, piece or package. However, for boats, automobiles or other motorized vehicles the company has to pay maximum liability up to Rs. 9 per kg.
Full Value Coverage Plan- Some reputed companies offer full value coverage plan. Under this plan, company promises to repair or replace with the like items if they are damaged or lost. They also offer clients a cash settlement option. Cash settlement is purely based on current market replacement value of the product. But before taking this service make a deep enquiry about them. Never trust on verbal promise. Ask the movers to provide appropriate documents in support.
Also learn to exercise your rights. In case your removal company is denying you to offer promised services, then you may lodge complain regarding the same in consumer forum. If the removal company has made a loss to you and is not getting ready to pay the compensation, you must take appropriate legal action.
