Depression is a debilitating condition that affects adults and children alike. There are different signs of depression, which range from mild to severe. For example, if a person is not getting proper sleep or having sleepless nights, this can lead to depression. Moreover, the insomnia is the primary symptom of depression. Many people who work nights have symptoms of depression.

Another form of depression is bipolar depression in which a person’s mood swings from nonfunctional to manically high. A person is all right at one minute and then suddenly without any provocation can be disturbed or moved to an excited state.
This sudden swing of mood from happy to withdrawn can happen in a short period of time and this can be referred as the bipolar disorder.
Depression can become a permanent mental illness for the person if proper treatment (from herbal remedies to medication to talk therapy) isn’t taken at the right time. Friends and family play a key role in overcoming depression. Their support is vital to the recovery.
