Etios sedan& Liva hatchback to come with 68 BHP diesel engines

Toyota Motors is a popular Japanese multinational organization which was established in India as Toyota India by collaboration with Kirloskar group. Toyota India has brought many new types of cars which can be seen on Indian roads.Toyota India is now planning to launch the diesel versions of Toyota Etios and Toyota Etios Liva Toyota Etios is a sedan whereas Toyota Etios Liva is a hatchback. Toyota India has planned to launch the diesel version of Toyota Etios and Toyota Etios Liva on 9th September.Toyota India has already launched the petrol versions of Toyota Etios and Toyota Etios Liva. The petrol version of the Toyota Etios has been launched last year. The car gave a very good response and people liked it very much. Recently Tata Etios Liva was also launched with only petrol version but it has not got the response similar to Tata Etios sedan as the price of petrol has risen too much, Toyota India has planned to launch Toyota Etios diesel and Toyota Etios Liva diesel.

Toyota Etios and Toyota Etios Liva will consist of 1.4 litres D-4D engine which will produce the power of 68 BHP and will deliver a mileage which will be close to 22 kmpl. As per our sources, the looks and design of the diesel variants of Toyota Etios and Toyota Etios Liva is same as that of their petrol versions.Indian car market is popular for hatchbacks in comparison to other segments. So there is great competition between the car manufacturers to manufacture and sell hatchbacks. Since petrol price has risen too much, the companies are more emphasizing on launching diesel models.Speculations say that mostly the hatchbacks are bought by people under the age of 25 to 35 years and Toyota Etios Liva is not appealing to the youth.Toyota India has much expectations from the twins as the Indian market is inclined to diesel models due to rise in the price of petrol. The sales of cars has been slowed down due to rise in the price of petrol. So the companies are trying to manufacture and sell the diesel cars.
