Statistics shows that three million people are suffering from child abuse; there are more than two million people from homelessness; and one million neglected children. What one person could do to help millions of these people? Truly, it is unbearable for one person but workable for many. It is good to know that nowadays there are many of the non-profit organizations support the cause of helping unfortunate people. It is also a good chance for us to help them.
It is erroneous to think that you have to be rich to help the poor. There are many ways we can do to help. I believe that God has granted us more than what we have asked, more than what we need so we can share it to others. You may have used garments, used things, used cars that you no longer use .You might be thinking of keeping them. There are people that are used in having cars as collections. It may be hard for them to give away their cars but it is also wrong to think that excess is success. Do not get me wrong but I hope that they would know how far one car could go.
Have you experienced regrets like buying things you wished you should not? Maybe you have. One thing is really worth-doing and that is helping others. As Saint Vincent de Paul said, “We must care for the poor, console them, help them, support their cause. Since Christ willed to be born poor, he chose for himself disciples who were poor. He empathized himself with the poor, and acted as a servant and shared their poverty. He went so far as to say that he would believe that every deed that helps or harms the poor as done for or against himself.” That I can say is real servant hood. You can also practice servant hood.
