What’s The New Bra Fashion Trend?

Calling all hot blooded men out there. Have you heard? The news is just out that women in New Zealand are wearing larger bra sizes on average than anywhere else in the world. Geez, when are we going to Kiwiland you might say? Well, let me tell you the rest of the story first.

It’s a badly kept secret that the breasts of Kiwi ladies have been increasing in size over the last decade or so. In fact, on average the bra sizes have gone up by two whole notches. And before you think that this is just the older ladies who are getting a bit out of shape, think again. According to reliable sources the average bust size has especially been increasing in younger women in New Zealand.

The reliable source of this information is a spokesperson of Bendon’s Newmarket store in the capital city of Auckland, who claims that bra cup sizes D or larger make up half the quantities of bras sold down under.  The most popular size used to be a 10C but these days that has increased to a size 12D or12DD.

But the trend for larger bra sizes is not all that new and was recognized by lingerie manufacturers as much as ten to fifteen years ago already. The tastes amongst men for really skinny women started to change and ladies with fuller figures started to become more popular. In addition there has been a growing trend worldwide for ladies to get bigger these days.

A large part of this phenomenon is the trend towards obesity or excessive weight gain which has gripped both men and women. This has now resulted in one in three adults being overweight and one in four being obese, not just in New Zealand, but all over the world.

A worrying factor that has been mentioned by scientists and in the media recently, is that there are such high levels of the female hormone estrogen in our environments today. It is often present in packaging, preservatives in food, chemicals and estrogen contamination has even been found in water. It is of course a known fact that this female hormone is fed to cows and livestock as well because it helps with milk and beef production, whereafter it can leech into our rivers and our drinking water.

On a lighter note the larger ladies these days could also be due to better nutrition that was available to them in childhood. This can enhance child growth and apparently also be responsible for early puberty in girls. But generally speaking the larger average bust size in women is not unhealthy or a health hazard in any way, shape or form. Probably the only problem it could be held responsible for is a bit of backache!
