Currently the Anxi tie guan yin tea has developed over the whole Anxi area while extending to Guangdong or even Taiwan areas. Who gave the tea the beautiful name of tie guan yin(Iron Goddess)? When and where? In the past, some people thought that tie guan yin tea had been created by Weiyin in Songyan village. However, they know only one aspect of that.
Trace to its source, according to the record in “Anxi county journal”, rumor passing by people in Anxi and the confirmation of experts, it’s true that Weiyin of Songyan village had found tie guan yin tea while it’s the historical fact that Wang Shirang presented the tea to the court and Emperor Qianlong bestowed the name to it. Whether the light-fermented tea or medium-fermented tea, drinking the high-quality tea feels people sweet at throat immediately then it will spread to whole mouth and that’s lasting.
