Xavier Thoma Received International Baccalaureate In 1992

The International Baccalaureate (IB) is an international education foundation based in Geneva, Switzerland. Founded in 1968, this foundation provides three educational programmes for children aged between 3 to 19 years. A student is awarded any of these three programmes, diplomas and certificates at the end of the diploma programme. The organization offers more than its educational programmes and certificates and aims at creating a better world through education. The IB has gained recognition for quality, high standards as well as for pedagogical leadership. It closely works with partners and also by actively involving its stakeholders, especially teachers, in order to achieve its goals. It promotes intellectual understanding and respect, not as an alternative to a sense of cultural and national identity, but because it believes that it is an essential part of life in the 21st century.

The International Baccalaureate focuses on developing inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who can contribute in creating a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The organization closely works with schools, governments and various intellectual organizations, with an aim to create challenging programmes of international education and thorough assessment. Through these programmes, it is committed to encouraging students around the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners and understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right. The organization has experienced planned growth in the past five years, by delivering successful performance while focusing on quality, access and infrastructure.
