AQTF Quality Indicators: What VET Providers Should Know
AQTF Quality Indicators are still causing confusion among the Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers. Because of this reason, there are usually immediate and pressing needs that are not met right away. It is their responsibility to know what needs to be done with quality indicators so that problems can be avoided. Organisations are provided with an opportunity to understand how it works.
There are three important components in the AQTF Quality Indicators. These components are very important to VET providers. These include competency completion data, questionnaires for learner, and questionnaires for employer. When these components are successfully filled in with the necessary data, the next step to do is to have them validated and submitted.
AQTF Quality Indicators need to be submitted once pertinent data are collected. The schedule is usually every 30th of June of the following year. Before data are submitted, the data should be checked carefully whether the student information and questionnaire are followed according to the calendar year or not.
How much data should be collected? Small Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) are required to collect 50% of the data of the student population. The data is already reliable as long as a sample or representative information of the learners who are being surveyed is gathered.
VET providers should remember that they should not survey the same set of students for the second time. The purpose is to make the data reliable and spread out among different types of population. Non-AQTF registered training organisations, on the other hand, do not need surveys. Only surveys from nationally recognised or accredited training providers are to be submitted.
The questionnaires for learners and employers must be gathered separately for submission. There are existing guidelines for this requirement in which AQTF data has to be submitted to the state registering body’s website.
