When he was ready to take on the real life of a businessman, he immediately set foot on Morgan Stanley, and since he has a superb academic background, he was hired to be the company’s Managing Director. Moreover, not only did he work for Morgan Stanley as a Director. He also applied and got hired at the Jazz at Lincoln Center, The American Museum of Natural History and lastly, the Viacom Company.
However, it was his time in Wall Street where the company Oracle saw a huge potential in his skills, so he was then handpicked by the board to appoint to him the Vice President position. Surprisingly, at the end of one year, he was quickly promoted to become its President up until his resignation on September of 2009. When he left his post as President in Oracle, Phillips took six weeks of rest to then embark on a new environment. After 6 weeks, he was given a job offer he could never resist, Infor asked him to be its Chief Executive Officer in 2010, and from then on he was called Charles Phillips Infor.
