* Research Visa: Research visas are given to academics and participants in academic conferences. The processing time for this kind of visa is six to eight weeks.

* Sports Visa: This visa is issued on the basis of an official invite to amateur sportspeople who wish to participate at a sports event held in India.

* Conference Visa: Conference visas are issued to people who wish to attend a conference in India hosted by an Indian Government Organization.

* Employment Visa: Employment visas are issued to foreign nationals who have taken up employment in India with an organisation that’s registered in India. Employment visas require proof of employment with a company in India with annual remuneration exceeding 25000 dollars. Employment visas are granted up to one year and can be extended based on terms of the employment contract.
