Renault Modus hatchback to hit the Indian shores soon
Renault Fluence sedan priced at 14.4 L in India is going places and so is expected of the Renault Koleos SUV from the company that is selling it in the premium segment at a price of 22.9 L. Yet, the strife to churn out some more from the ever flourishing Indian automobile sector is alive in the French giant, Renault. Renault has plans to launch another car (this time in the small car segment), a hatchback In India that they are referring to as “Modus”.
Renault Modus is the latest hatchback witnessed in Chennai while it was on a test drive on the roads of the city. It was quite a sight and team BHP had even clicked some snaps of this car and those pictures have been doing rounds on Internet these days. It is worth a mention that Renault has a manufacturing unit in Chennai and so it is obvious that car was being tested on the roads of this city.
If speculations are to be believed then Renault Modus will be launched in India soon, most probably by the month of October (also the festive season in India) and Renault Modus Price in India will be quite a surprise if it will be selling at about Rs. 5 lakhs in India. The mid price segment of cars in India is flooded with many good cars and has cut throat competition. There are many an established names like Hyundai i20, Ford Figo and Honda Jazz in this segment and as such a new car has to be offered at a competitive price to come into people’s notice.
Considering that petrol prices are on an all time high in India, Renault Modus will be launched in both petrol and diesel variants. Renault Modus hatchback will feature a petrol engine of 1.2 litre, 16-valve and with ability to churn out 75 bhp power. The 1.5 L diesel engine shall be of 88 bhp power. It should also be known that Renault Modus is new for India but has been successfully present in the global market since 2003 with both its variants. Renautl Modus Review suggests that it is popular for its unusual height, high roof-line and wide boot that amplify space in its hatch. Even its rear seats can be folded to expand the area. It has many safety features to amuse the Indian buyers too. There are airbags on driver and passenger sides and it also offers anti-braking system for adequate safety.
