You need to file US citizenship certificate and Form I-485 to USCIS office to get your status adjusted. For adjustment of status you will be following the guidelines provided by USCIS. Download the form with the instruction book which will help you to fill the form. You will find at least ten categories. You have to decide one category under which you will be filling the application and attach the documents required with the form. Fill out the form carefully and arrange for the fee. After completing all these requirements submit the application to USCIS office through mail or personal visit as mentioned on the instruction book. After processing of the application you will get the decision about your adjustment of status. Either you will succeed or if not the problems or issues will be highlighted to make you aware, why your application for adjustment of status is not approved.
