National Food Manager – Servsafe
National Food Manager offers a Servsafe training program, which is Florida Approved (DBPR, Division of Hotels and Restaurants) and in addition, the Servsafe program complies with many other state and local regulations when training customer’s staff in food safety handling. National Food Manager states that by regulation training of staff in Servsafe food safety, customers will be showing due diligence in their endeavors to provide safe food to their own customers.
National Food Manager informs that for the do-it-yourself program, customers will need to purchase a minimum of one training manual per facility and will then purchase the training certificate record for each employee being trained on the Servsafe program. Customers will enable the training, complete the certificate/wallet card to give to the employee and keep the Servsafe training certificate record on file for inspectors. In Florida and many other areas, the Food Manager of a facility is authorized to conduct the Servsafe training. Certificates may not be copied, as this is a direct violation of regulations.
Food employees can join the FSC at National Food Manager’s Open Servsafe classes throughout Florida and listen to the training portion of the Food Manager class. The Servsafe student will then be a Certified Food Employee in Florida. The instructor of National Food Manager’s Servsafe classes will give the employee the Florida Approved Training Certificate Record and wallet card and the training certificate will be retained on file by the employer as proof of certification. This option is available in most areas of Florida. These Servsafe classes have a great deal of flexibility, but online private class options are not available.
